A Salt Chlorinator System requires maintenance and eventually will need repair. The salt cell and the controller board will develop issues over time.
 

Symptoms indicating your salt system may be having a problem are:
 

• tests that indicate low chlorine output

• error codes flashing on the control box

• no lights at all (a simple power or voltage issue)

• improper water balance, salt levels, and poor flow

•  a clogged salt cell.
